Today I spoke to Debbie about my idea for an installation, she wanted to know what the idea was and how it would work as an installation. When I explained my plan to her, Debbie thought it was a good idea but was too complicated and long for the time frame that we have left. We spoke about different idea because I want the project to be as good as possible. If it is too complicated, the project might look rushed and bad, which isn't what I want. Eventually, it was decided that I would make a very short video (about a minute long) that would be played on a loop. Debbie said this would be fine because it is a complicated way of creating a film. The the complexity means it can be shorter.
The actual contents of the booth that I create it in will be a bedroom, with bubbles on the wall leading away from the head of a mannequin in the bed. The film will then be projected on a loop onto the bubble, so that it appears to be the dreams of the person in the bed. This works with the dreams theme and would work really well if made correctly.
